Well, first of all pardon me for sharing such a 'back-dated' figure so late towards the end of the year (when I say late I mean most of you collectors have probably read reviews on this Hot Toys figure from other toy websites before!). But as they all say, there ain't any hard-and-fast rules about toy blogging nowadays. Heck, you can even blog about a toy that has been released a decade before and still you'd draw readers to your humble blog. You get the drift =p......anyway this excellent Hot Toys Iron Man Mark V figure belongs to The Rebel Page's own (sometime reviewer) the_ridz, and I can only thank him for allowing me to snap some pictures of his latest haul (and I've snapped pictures of his ROTLA Indiana Jones too, but let's get into this Mark IV figure first shall we!).

Hey there MOTU fans! MattyCollector has previewed a selection of amazing new artwork for the Masters Of The Universe 30th Anniversary. These new artwork will be featured on the toy packaging in 2012, so take a peek at these excellent new artwork before it gets hidden behind the layout of the packaging. I know some of you hardcore MOTU fans have been complaining that these new artwork have not been faithful to the 'classic' look of the MOTU brand but personally I think these are great updates to the classic characters (and they're not as 'deviated' as the 200X versions anyway)!

At first I was thinking...."Yawn, another Spiderman figure from Hot Toys!". Then I saw something special about this latest 1/6th offering. Something I wish they had done during their red-and-blue Spidey release. Had they included this piece of 'item' with the red/blue Spidey, I would've pre-ordered that in a heartbeat. Heck, now I'm even considering gettin' this latest HT Spidey figure!
Here you are, preview character banners from Marvel Studios for their upcoming July '12 Avengers film. Man these look cool! This should whet our inner geeky fanboy urges till then!

What can I say.....I've been waiting for this movie to be realised since the last of the LOTR movies. I went over the book twice and realised that I've actually enjoyed The Hobbit more than the LOTR trilogy books.....well, partially due to the fact that there's gonna be a dragon involved in the story...*oops, did I just give away a spoiler plot to you non-book readers? lol*. Anyway, here's to us...counting our days till Dec '12!
In the meantime, it's time for me to revisit my Toybiz LOTR 6" action figure collection...just to re-ignite the Tolkien mood in anticipation of this movie!
Here's the movie teaser poster released concurrently with the trailer above.....absolutely love it!
Released two days ago. This should give us a taste of what's coming next July. Looks good! I can't fathom some of the comments on youtube though....there were some smarty-pants who commented that Nolan deviated from the comics by giving Bane an on-screen genius personae. What the heck man....it's already well-known that Bane is a super-strong villainous genius in the comics. Just because the character looked and acted dumb albeit very strongly in the Batman & Robin (1997) flick, it doesn't mean that he's gonna do the same here in Nolan's version!
Another 6 months to go.....*shucks*

Saw the new 'Impossible movie two nights ago with my better half. Call it what you want....Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol or Mission Impossible 4, the movie still kicks a**!
Personally, I feel that this movie trumps the first 3 movies easily. I mean I really liked MI:2 better than the 1st or the 3rd installments...but after seeing Ghost Protocol, I think this new film takes the cake! Not only it brought back the excitement last seen in MI:2, I also think that the action sequences were excellent. This was a very 'painful' movie indeed for Ethan Hunt!
Truthfully, the film had the air of James Bond about it. Cool gadgets, action sequences, great acting and good humour rolled into one. It was kinda cool too to see the likes of Simon Pegg (Shaun of The Dead) and Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye from The Avengers movie!) providing the humour, even if not intentional, to the film.
Heard that Mr Cruise did all of his stunts himself. If it's really true then it's really impressive since one of the highlight of the whole film is the scene where Ethan Hunt scaled up the highest building in the world (man that was a heart-stopper!!!). Word is, it's really Cruise we get to see in action way up high on the 130th floor, about a third of a mile off the ground (*shudder*). Ok, no more spoilers.....just go out and catch the film already!!!
The Rebel's verdict: 4.5 out of 5 stars!

This figure in due to be released in Feb '12. I don't usually dig these Revoltech figures. Their excellent articulations aside, I just can't come to terms that their 5" scale doesn't really fit with any other toylines in most of our action figure collection (save for those few notable McFarlane 5-incher liek Halo figs etc.). My wife and I have a soft-spot for the Incredibles movie though, so there is a (very, very, very) remote chance that I'll be giving this figure a thought...

Watch this trailer and tell me it doesn't remind you of the action sequences taken off the 80s cartoon series! This is insane....it looks better than the first movie (Rise of Cobra) already!!! I can't believe it, we're finally getting a live-action film that is faithfully true to its 80s cartoon version....(are you listening Michael Bay?!!). June 2012 is gonna be a heckuva time for movie buffs. G.I. Joe: Retaliation is a must-watch for me next to the Dark Knight Rises film. Watch the trailer above until the end and you'd be surprised on the inclusion of a fan-favourite action actor (apart from the very obvious Mr Dwayne Johnson that is!).

Okay, so I know that many of you collectors have already picked up this excellent Hot Toys figure about a month ago or so. I only got mine a week ago. Naturally I was excited to finally get one of the most anticipated 1/6th action figure ever in the history of action-figure collecting! Here are a few pictures as I opened the packaging for the first time....(actual review of the figure might not come so soon though....LOL!).

Bought this sometime back but only recently found the time to do a proper photoshoot on it. Inevitably, a review was to follow suit before this figure disappears within the great Rebel Toy Vault....lol! Honestly, I wasn't too keen to get my hands on this Loki figure. I was (back then) adamant that I already have a 'definitive' comic series Loki i.e. ML Toybiz Loki from yesteryear. It was only when somebody posted a close-up of his headsculpt that I was finally swayed.
