AMC The Walking Dead Season 10 Episode 4 afterthoughts

Episode 4, Silence the Whisperers shows us how things can get even worse when they're already bad. First of all, that fallen tree at Hilltop couldn't have come at a better time. Just when the survivors had to deal with the imminent threats from the Whisperers, forces of nature added to their woes and turned the fortified Hilltop perimeters into chopped liver.

Secondly, I was beginning to question the sanity of the guys in Alexandria when they still haven't utilized Negan's presence amongst them. Gabriel needs all the able bodied help to defend/attack the Whisperers but the consensus still in favor of keeping Negan locked. The situation further worsened when Negan accidently killled one of the bullies who picked on Lydia when he defended her from being brutally bullied by the stubborn trio. So much for my hopes of seeing Negan fighting for the Alexandrian this week.

I got the feeling that both Michonne and Daryl's pretty convinced that Negan has turned over a new leaf since his defeat and brush with death many years ago but the council is not unanimously agreeable on this. While they debate, somebody got Negan out of his cell/home for the last six years and poor Lydia was quick to admit she did it because she simply didn't care anymore, but mostly because she felt so indebted to the man who stood up for her when no one else would.

If you ask me, I think the producers are gonna leave us at that mid-season finale yet again with a perfect cliffhanger that's probably in everyone's mind right now. Yes, I'm talking about Negan finally coming back to lend his expertise of bashing people's brains out of their skulls, but this time he'd be on the good guys' side. I hope. There ain't no way in heck would I imagine Negan fighting alongside Alpha (God please no!).
