Ackroyd's Ghostbusters now has a title!

Ok, if you're a Ghosbusters fan and you haven't heard about this by now, then chances are you were away on some wifi-deprived place on earth. Thanks to the British Classification Board website, we now know that the upcoming Dan Ackroyd-led new Ghostbusters movie is gonna be called Ghostbusters: Afterlife.

We're only gonna see it next summer but already the title has fueled many speculations among fans. It's probably a metaphor referring to the remaining Ghostbusters after Egon's demise. Yes, I do believe they're gonna somehow incorporate Harold Ramis' real world passing into the film but Egon Spengler's probably left a legacy of some sort, in the form of a son or daughter maybe?

The trailer's coming up next week so get your geek mode on. So far we know that it's gonna be 2 minutes and 28 seconds long so I do have some expectations for the trailer. As a lifelong Ghostbusters fan of both the original movies and The Real Ghostbusters cartoon series, I do expect some sort of top-notch material from the upcoming movie or at least a proper closure for the remaining member of the original movies.

Obviously there'd be a hand-over from the veterans to a new breed of ghost fightin' unit so that's where Finn Wolfhard (who played Mike Wheeler from the Stranger Things Netflix series) will come in with several other newcomers. Do I actually want to see a continuation of the movie after 'Afterlife'? Probably not, but if the original guys make a cameo then I'll consider it. Yes, I'm that old school.

I'm thinking too far ahead. Let's just wait for what 'Afterlife' will bring us shall we? Let us see the trailer first next week.
