Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Those who remember that awesome Star Wars video game called Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (and later they also made TFU:2) will remember that cool Vader apprentice-turned-Jedi called Starkiller or by his real name, Galen Marek. I haven't played any of the latest SW game as of late so that means I haven't got a clue who Cal Kestis is except that he's the protagonist of the Fallen Order game.

So sad that Disney decided to categorize whatever material that weren't in their favor as 'Legends' which means that these materials are no longer canon to the mainstream Star Wars universe as we know it.  Unfortunately, The Force Unleashed is considered Legends therefore no longer canon just like so many of the Expanded Universe novels.

I kinda like the backstory for Starkiller. Apart from having a name that was meant to be Luke's in George Lucas' original script, he's one badass Jedi having turned against his former master (Darth Vader of all people!) and being able to conjure electricity from his hands, a feat only possible if you're a Sith. Starkiller, or Galen Marek, later was instrumental to the birth of the Rebellion and even contributed to the Rebel's insignia. He's that important to the Rebel Alliance because without him there wouldn't be one.

But Starkiller/Galen Marek has been erased from the Star Wars continuity by Disney so that means all the cool things he's done are no longer there in the Star Wars lore. Such a shame. In my mind, all of the Expanded Universe materials are still canon and nothing Disney has to say about them will change what I want them to be.
