Is it just me or the Bat-flicks kept getting darker through the years? I love Adam West's campy TV show and there were absolutely no moments where you were left in the dark (pun very intended!) and were made to guess what was going on with the characters on screen. Keaton's movies were dark but Tim Burton didn't dim the light switch brightness all the way down and so were the Kilmer and Clooney Bat-movies. I guess we have to blame Christopher Nolan for starting the whole dark gritty cinematography.
Can't wait to see how literally dark the next Batman movie will be...shucks!
