A 'small segment of KISS fans'....really, Tommy?

Believe me when I say that us hardcore KISS fans are ever grateful to the string (pun very intended) of guitarists that came to fill in Ace Frehley's shoes in the band after the Spaceman called it quits, twice. For the record, Bruce Kulick was the best technical guitarist for KISS (love the man's work during the God Gave Rock and Roll To You days) but no one ever came close to emulating the unique style employed by the original founding member and lead guitarist who was so instrumental in shaping the band's signature sound in the 70s.

We can all agree that Tommy Thayer, the guitar tech turned Ace's replacement, did a wonderful job in warming Ace's seat in the band but he did nothing more than just copying Ace, right from guitar riffs and sound up to the Spaceman's get up & make up. Not entirely Tommy's fault realy because that's exactly what Gene and Paul wants when Ace parted ways with band (again) in 2002.

A couple of years ago Tommy gave an interview to The Aquarian Weekly that he wasn't bothered by the fact that a small segment of KISS fans can't accept him performing in the Spaceman makeup and suit although he has been with the band since Ace left in the early 2000s. Tommy further added that it didn't really mean anything to him and asked KISS fans not to be fooled by by these handful of disgruntled people.

Seriously Tommy, a 'SMALL SEGMENT'? A 'HANDFUL'?....haha!

This made my day.

Anyhoo, can't wait to see how's the schedule gonna be like in KISS' upcoming End of The Road Tour.  Can't wait to see Ace Frehley and Peter Criss back on stage with KISS!
