Rambo, Keanu, James Bond, Sony's Spidey-verse & more on Joaquin Joker

It's time for some geek-worthy news from all around the 'net. Feel free to update me in case I've missed any for the past couple o' days. Ain't it a great time to be alive? Lots of good flicks coming our way.

John Rambo's finally getting a closure in his fifth and final movie titled Rambo: Last Blood. Let me just stop right there for a moment and tell you that some people don't even remember that there was a fourth movie some years ago. I remembered that I wasn't that excited either about the movie at the time because I think everything we've seen in the movie's been done before, over and over again throughout Rambo 2 and Rambo 3.

Now, John Rambo looked even better than he did in Rambo 4. Seriously, he looks fitter and more combat ready in Last Blood. Seems that the battle finally followed him home back to good 'ol USA. Take a look at the trailer below:

Rambo: Last Blood comes out in September 2019.

Confirmation about Matrix 4 should be earth shattering to most of you Matrix die hard enthusiasts. Keanu Reeves' coming back with Carrie-Ann Moss but there's no word yet if Lawrence Fishburne's joining back the rest of the cast. I kinda like the first two Matrix movie but the third one didn't really do it for me. So Matrix 4.....is just 'meh' for me but I think I'll probably watch it when it comes out anywhere just to complete the whole experience. No further updates yet on the new movie's release date etc. Speaking of a new Keanu Reeves movie......

Now here's a movie that really got my heart pumping! The new Bill and Ted movie has finally started filming sometime last month. Bill & Ted: Face the Music will feature many familiar faces from the first two movies (save for Rufus) and will reunite the dimwitted time-travelling awesome dudes as they go for a new adventure. Ted looks like a clean shaven John Wick and Bill looks like....err...himself, which is not a bad thing really.

Bill and Ted: Face the Music is coming our way in August, 2020.

The new James Bond movie has finally got a title. With a title like 'No Time To Die' one can only wonder if 007 is finally getting the bullet this time around. What's more astonishing is that Daniel Craig is still playing James Bond despite years' worth of rumors that he's fed up of the role and not wanting to play the secret agent on the silver screen ever again.

Having said that, my favorite James Bond actor is still Roger Moore. I still love the light comedy aspect of Moore's Bond films over the other actors. I can talk endlessly about Moonraker or The Spy Who Loved Me if you invite me over for a discussion over coffee.

I'd still watch any new James Bond movie anytime any day no matter who the actor is.

James Bond: No Time To Die goes on the big screen in April of next year.

Well, well, well....since Spidey's acrimonious saga ended between Disney and Sony Pictures, many fans were left dumbfounded about the future of the web-slinger and his related characters. Fret no more we-heads, for Sony Pictures had in fact planned several other Spidey-related movies apart from the ones headlined by the web-slinger himself.

Looks like Disney-Marvel are the ones on the losing end more than the owner of the Spidey franchise themselves. In case you haven't heard, Sony Pictures had these live-action movies in the pipeline all along.....

Morbius (Jared Leto is in it!)

Venom 2 (Andy 'freakin Gollum' Serkis is directing it!)

Kraven The Hunter (haven't heard much about it yet)

Spiderverse (oh come on, now this has just been snagged right from under Marvel Studios' noses!)

I first ranted about the Joker movie and how some toxic fans were already hating it despite not even having seen it yet HERE. I've also talked about how I much I dig his new photo off that Italian magazine YESTERDAY.

Well, here's another piece of interesting news about the upcoming Todd Phillips' movie on the Clown Prince of Crime. This one's actually been picked up by somebody close to the production team and by right this shouldn't be treated as official yet but you know, fan frenzy and all. As reported by wegotthiscovered.com , it has been said that:

".....there’ll be a major twist in Joker that tells us Arthur Fleck (whose real name is Happy Wayne, apparently) is actually the illegitimate son of Thomas Wayne, who had an affair several decades prior with a woman who wasn’t Martha. This, of course, would mean that the Joker is the half-brother of Bruce Wayne and thus, in this continuity at least, Batman and the Clown Prince of Crime are related!"

Wow. Just wow. If this is indeed proven to be true then I'm all for it. It has been rumored for years already that the Joker has some sort of relation to the Bats and if this is the path taken by Todd Phillips, then it will be very interesting indeed. That'll explain the natural love-hate relationship between them throughout their career. Nice twist, but this also means that Batman will eventually kill his (half) brother off in Frank Miller's TDKR graphic novel. Now THAT'S family drama!
