Patience is a virtue

I've been on a sporadic mode when it comes to collecting Marvel Legends. But once in a while comes a ML action figure that needs to be in my collection for their sheer awesomeness and The Beast from the Caliban BAF wave is one of those.

You see, since the wave hit retail shelves sometime towards the end of last year, the chances to find The Beast was literaly slim to none because of pesky scalpers who snagged him on sight. All this because stupid scalpers think collectors will buy him first to complete the X-Men Blue team. And they were right, unfortunately.

So you get many collectors running around to beat those damn scalpers to get The Beast, Many online stores over in Malaysia offered to bring in solid cases of The Beast but many still missed out so the rest of them resorted to get ol' Hank McCoy from overseas seller e.g. Amazon/BBTS/Entertainment Earth etc.

But not this guy though. This optimistic fellow still think that he can somehow find The Beast in the wild without paying scalpers exorbitant price points.

And today Lady Luck smiled upon me when I took a stroll with the fam after having lunch at an 'undisclosed' shopping complex. The Beast was just waiting nicely on the peg for me and the ridiculous heavy discounting price was just too good to be true. Couple that with certain points incentives and I ended up paying a price akin to the Toybiz era Marvel Legends. I kid you not.

Sometimes it'll do you good to just wait. Sometimes.
