From being Spidey to a Baggins!

It's known to all now that both Raimi and McGuire won't be back in the next Spiderman movie (most importantly, Dunst won't be there either!). Now Tobey McGuire has revealed that the real reason behind his 'withdrawal' (contrary to reports that Marvel Studios cancelled his contracts for the whole 're-boot shenanigan') was that he's unhappy with the direction the fourth Spidey film is set to take. Further reports now revealed that this former 'Pete Parker' has agreed to star in the highly anticipated 'The Hobbit' movie.

The Hobbit producer Peter Jackson, who was also behind the epic Lord Of The Rings trilogy and director Guillermo del Toro has been reportedly said to have been after Tobey McGuire's signature for months to play the role of the young Bilbo Baggins. Previously, actor James McAvoy has been strongly tipped for the role. Funny enough, most don't really care who gets to play Bilbo. Geek LOTR fans are more excited about the return of Ian McKellen (Gandalf) and Andy Serkis (Gollum/Smeagol) from the LOTR trilogy.

The Hobbit tells the story of a band of dwarves who accompany Bilbo and wizard Gandalf on a mission to reclaim treasure from a dragon called Smaug.

Word has it that the dude who played Cobra Commander/Rex is gonna take over...

He looks the part...as the young Pete Parker...
from what I heard, Zac Efron loves to play him.
That would be too "pretty"?
