Me' latest 3.75" figures....X-'dudes' are in da house!

I must say, I get more and more impressed with the 'minified' Marvel Legends action figures. The latest series (I think it's Series 2 for 2010) presents us with a list of cool characters from the X-Men universe, save for one which is the AIM Soldier (was quite a pretty ridiculous character if ya ask me, bright yellow and all...even his own bio says so!). The ones most scalpers went for first were Colossus, Juggernaut and the ultra-rare Archangel (which was purposely shortpacked by Has-blow...only ONE per case). Havok, one the other hand, was also limited to only one per case, which technically made it as rare as 'Archie'....but I'm still seeing him all over the various TRUs in town, so I guess he wasn't that important to those gosh-darn scalpers! Nevertheless, a fellow good buddy collector of mine got me Juggernaut and Colossus....so I needed to hunt 'Archie' on my own.

What a relief it was to finally find Archangel at one of the retail stores, just after one of them Hasbro dudes done stacking them onto the retail shelves. I had a second look at Havok and decided that he deserved to be picked up. Amazing amount of detailing and his paintwork is just superb. After all, both Archangel and Havok were the winners for the most requested figures(s) by fans who casted their votes some time back. I purposely skipped Kitty Pride.....I dunno, I guess she doesn't really cut it for me. She's still widely available though...so there might be a change of heart later on...LOL!

So here they are, freshly out of their packages....

Hasbro has surely grown leaps and bounds by giving us a much better quality action figures under their Marvel Universe line up. For the record, I still don't plan to collect every single figures from the line, just cherry-picking those that look cool enough when put together with the rest of my 3.75s" on my display shelves. I grew up with the X-Men, having fed with a staple diet of X-Men comics by my late father in the 80s (I can still recall re-reading "God Loves, Man Kills" countless times in one night....absolutely love that storyline!), so I was kinda excited when they announced so many fan-favourite 'muties' in one wave! After I got 'em out of their respective packages, I immediately started work on the photography....so here are a few of them for your viewing pleasure dear readers/followers of my blog:

And just for kicks, things got more interesting when Juggernaut decided to teach Colossus a lesson in hand-to-hand combat!

Victory belongs to Cain Marko!!!

Well, that's it from me. As usual, if you're interested to see more, head on to my flickr page. Excelsior...and make mine Marvel!

Seriously dude, you're just tempting me to start picking up on those shorty marvel midgets. I'm liking Angel so I think I might get him. Any chance there was an extra when you got him?

love the archangel and iceman. wonder if HT will produce all of 'em in their Marvel line. then i'll be dead. hahahahaa

>>>Armand...that's how I got hooked on board too....some dudes on flickr snapped some really cool shots of these figures. Seriously bro, you gotta get one or two of these midgets.....see how it goes frm thr! I wish I can tell ya that "Archie" is still widely available thru retail stores everywhr....but it ain't the case bro...curse those scalpers..I think ur best bet is eVilbay. I saw a couple of 'em on ebay.com.my.....albeit slight markup.

>>>Asrul....I can't afford to collect every single HT 1/6 version of these Marvel characters...so the next best thing is their 6" and 3.75". I was a devout follower of the Marvel Legends line...so now I guess my affection towards the line continue albeit throught the 3.75s" version! =)
