Unless you've been living in an underground cave where cable TV reception is but a mere myth, you must have heard about the latest series by FOX that premiered on Halloween '10 called The Walking Dead("The 'Dead"). Being a hardcore George A. Romero fan, I was ecstatic to find that my insatiable geeky appetite for zombie flicks would now be fulfilled every week for as long as AMC (that's the network responsible for bringing the comic book to life!) prolongs the series beyond the 1st season. True, we Malaysians only get to watch it over on our local tube 5 days after our American counterparts (and MOST parts of the world I reckon) do on their telly. But there's always this thing called the 'internet' and with the help of high-speed broadbands, we too get to see the 'uncensored' version (deemed too gory in these parts of the world....booo!) albeit a day later. Still, not too bad!
The Rebel is a 30-something full-time rockstar wannabe from Malaysia who parades as a member of the corporate world during the day. He has a loving wife who is equally as geeky as he is and together they join forces to train their son to embrace geekdom. He enjoys good company, loves pop culture literature, comic books, rock music, movies, abuses coffee on a daily basis and buys way too much toys.
