Christopher Reeve's finally coming to our collection....Teaser ahead!

This must be the BEST news on the planet today! Well, to us geeks and fanboys anyway...*shucks*. Hot Toys have released their teaser picture of the upcoming Chris Reeve Superman. Lookin' good I must say! I'm really liking it because:

1) Ain't no sign that it's a DX (it's a regular edition after all folks!), hence there's a good chance we won't be forced to pay heaps of cash for this baby!

2) The face sculpt (though only half revealed here) looks very similar to Mr Reeve...oh thank God!

VERDICT: A no brainer purchase here. I've been waiting for this PARTICULAR figure for all my 'collector' life!

MEZCO's 2007 Comic Con 7" Abe Sapien figure...

Abe Sapien

For those who had been following my humble blog for a considerable period of time may or may not notice that column to the left of my blog page that says "Geeky action figure wish-list". As the name suggests, that is where I've listed a number of those action figures which had somehow rather eluded me in the past hence never made it into my collection as they should have been in the first place. Together with the ultra-rare Aquaman from the Alex Ross 'Justice' series, the 2007 Comic Con exclusive Abe Sapien here was also always on top of my 'had-to-find-no-matter-what' list. For the record, both Aquaman and Abe Sapien are now both gone from that list for obvious reasons. Naturally, I had to wait for the right price to come along before I make my purchases....hence explaining why it had taken me so long to finally get him. I was lucky enough to have found a local Malaysian eBay seller who was kind enough to listen to my offer for the item.

iGear's PP-01 Faith Leader aka Optimus Prime review!

iGear's PP-01 Faith Leader aka Optimus Prime

Today I'm gonna do a review on one of the most iconic character that has ever graced our television in the 80s. I guess those who had not heard about Optimus Prime but claimed they lived their formative years through the 80s must've spent their childhood in a cave or something. I remember when kids worldwide went berserk and wrote to Hasbro to tell them off for killing ol' Optimus during the '86 movie. Hasbro eventually caved in and revived Optimus (for good) during Season 4 of the G1 series, much to the delight of every single kid who apparently still wasn't ready to let their favourite Autobot leader being taken off the air.

Anyway,  lots of versions had come along our way since then. I don't even know where to begin.....there are simply too many Optimus Primes out there. I don't really dig those obscure ones (at least to me that is...I only know ONE version of Prime....THAT one and only "flat-front" truck that we all love!).....Leo Prime, Armada Prime, Nemesis Prime, Optimus Primal (what a load of .....!) etc. just to name a few. All those different versions matter not to me coz' there is and only will ever be one Optimus Prime for me. This 3rd party manufacturer company by the name of iGear had successfully scaled down the incarnations of MP-01 (or MP-04 sans the trailer) into a size many would find ideal to be displayed amongst the Generations/Universe/Henkei/United line. Don't believe me? Read more to find out!
